European regulation RoHS deals with the limits of using dangerous substances and materials in electric and electronic devices (RoHS = Restriction of Hazardous Substances), validity is from 1st July, 2006. It is banned to use six dangerous chemical substances in electric and electronic devices ( in exceeded authorized absolute concentration):
The absolute authorized concentration is given for each of dangerous chemicals, and it is stated on 0,1% mass of homogenic material. There is an exception Cadmium where the limit of absolute authorized concentration is given 0,01%. It is necessary to say, the limits do not refer to the final mass of a product or its component, the limit is stated for homogenic material – material, which is theoretically possible separate mechanically from other material. This is uncompromising definition of European Union.
