Manufacture of custom transformers for the electrical industry in Slovakia
Our company manufactures various types of custom-made transformers - we manufacture single-phase, two-phase and other types of transformers.
Transformers are not only responsible for the conversion of electrical energy, but are also used for safety. But what if you need a transformer for your device, which must meet different parameters than normal ones? But still have a custom-made transformer according to your own individual requirements.
What are transformers?
Transformers work on the principle of electromagnetic induction and serve to convert electrical energy of one voltage into electrical energy of another voltage. If the goal is to galvanically separate two circuits, then also to convert the same voltage.
A transformer is a non-rotating electrical machine that changes the voltage ratios and amperage in a circuit while the frequency does not change. It only works with AC or DC voltage, that is, voltage that can change over time.
The main task of the transformer is to reduce, increase or maintain the voltage, which is of great importance due to the following advantages:
- reducing investment costs
- savings in long-distance transmission
- safety when consuming electricity
We distinguish between two basic groups of transformers – toroidal and electronic. Electric transformers are lighter and their job is to direct direct current. The toroid ones have a much higher weight and an alternating current passes through them.
Based on the material they are made of, we distinguish transformers from:
- transformer sheet
- ferrite core
- iron powder

Production of transformers: What are their uses?

Production of transformers
Transformers are mainly used when we need a lower voltage than the one in the electrical network for the proper operation of the electrical appliance. We can see this, for example, with bathroom fans that need a voltage lower than 230 V.
Transformers are also used in common network adapters. The mains voltage 230V, which is suitable for powering kitchen appliances, heaters, electric tools or lamps, is not suitable for radios, computers, printers or televisions. They need a much lower voltage for their operation.
Therefore, it is necessary to adapt the supply voltage to the needs of a particular appliance. The transformer first lowers the voltage and then rectifies the current. The voltage from the socket is transformed to a lower voltage by chargers for individual devices, such as a mobile phone, laptop and the like.
Transformers are also used in electrical signal transmission when the signal is to be transmitted from one circuit to another. This is used for example with traffic lights for musical effects.
They are also used for the distribution of electricity over long distances, such as for supplying municipalities and housing estates. In turn, block transformers are used in power plants.
Transformers boast a relatively simple construction and the absence of mechanically moving parts, thanks to which they are characterized by extremely long service life and low maintenance costs. Of course, everything provided that the transformer is used in accordance with its purpose and technical specification.
Production of customized transformers
Sometimes a custom electrical transformer is needed to meet all the individual requirements of a special device. Then it is time to have a custom-made transformer.
Generally functional transformers may not meet your requirements. Maybe you need a specific voltage or size to fit it in the housing. It is precisely for such occasions that our company manufactures various types of custom-made transformers.
Advantages of custom-made transformers
- great variability of dimensions and shapes
- transformers with both low and high voltage
- without having to adjust anything
- piece and series orders
- option to choose: power, voltage, wiring diagram, noise, number of branches, number of windings, transformer dimensions, color
- selection of protective equipment
Quality of custom-made transformers
Several factors affect the quality of manufactured transformers. The basis is consistent product quality control and sufficient technical equipment of inspection workplaces. Thanks to this, the required level of quality of individual transformers is ensured, regardless of whether they are custom-made or belong to classic transformers with given parameters.
It is essential that the control mechanisms adhere to strict criteria when selecting individual components. Likewise, the control devices themselves must meet a high level of quality.
What types of transformers are produced?
Transformers, like most components designed to regulate current characteristics, are used in both single-phase and three-phase versions. While the three-phase design allows the voltage to be directed individually to several branches, it is easier in the case of a single-phase one.
The transformer is connected via connectors or outputs directly above the given branch or circuit. When installing the transformer, it is necessary to orientate on the basis of the required secondary voltage.
In the industrial field, large transformers are applied as a tool that enables the unification of the input network. In practice, this means that it is possible to achieve the adaptation of production equipment to the specific operating conditions of the equipment, even if they come from different regions and have different standard network voltages.
Smaller transformers with the size and appearance of a separate component can be connected to an electrical circuit and allow the creation of branches with different voltage values.
